Anal atresia in sheep. Case report
Abstract
It is reported a case of an 8-day-old male Criollo breed sheep, with evidence of lack of development of the anal opening, from the town of Otuzco, Baños del Inca, Cajamarca. He was born on December 22, 2014, currently the sample is in the Pathology Laboratory of the Faculty of Veterinary Sciences of the National University of Cajamarca (UNC), where the pathophysiological observation of the case was performed, identifying the absence of the anal opening and abdominal distention due to the inability to evacuate feces. It is confirmed that the malformation described is anal atresia, in sheep.
